Why is gluten free bread so popular?
Until quite recently only a few of us knew what gluten was or why gluten free bread should be available. In recent years, however, a new awareness has swept through the community and now eating a diet that is gluten-free is commonplace, to

For many of us, bread is really an intrinsic part of our staple diet. If you are anything like me, you take the term “daily bread” quite literally and try to eat a fresh slice or two at every meal. If you are an enthusiastic bread fanatic, the fresher the bread is, the better, and if you belong to this group you will probably enjoy baking your own bread as well as eating it.

Traditional Irish Soda Bread Recipe

[uvc-youtube id="V5LZXFfPmbU" width="560" height="315" autoplay="0" controls="1"]

Here is another recipe for traditional Irish Soda bread. This bread uses no yeast, so it is ideal for anyone who is intolerant to yeast. The texture is coarse and grainy due to the porridge oats in the dough, but it make wonderful toast and is perfect for eating with hearty soups on a chilly spring (or winter) day.

The traditional soda bread eaten in Ireland has a deep cross cut into the top which opens up

Moulinex have come up with a novel idea with the Moulinex home bread baguette maker, model number OW5003, in that this machine is specifically designed for baking baguette bread - the clue's in the title :)

After adding the ingredients into the bread pan, which I am glad to say can be done when it is outside the machine, the pan is placed in the machine for the mixing and kneading cycle which takes around

This Focaccia recipe teaches you to make Focaccia, an Italian bread made with olive-oil and similar to ciabatta, by using your breadmaker machine. It is usually baked as a flat loaf and normally sold round or rectangular. The texture can be quite soft - almost like a doughy cake - and as it is normally made as a savoury bread it is often seasoned by using herbs like sage, rosemary, basil and oregano. Focaccia
